M Query pulling dates from another table

Hi all and Happy New Year.

I'm trying to get fancy with M Query. 

I'm creating a date parameter table in Power Query Editor, with things like Dataset Refresh date, earliest date in my source table, latest date in my source table. 

So the Dataset Refresh was easy, now i'm adding a second column and i'm trying to do a max date from my main dataset.

My main dataset is called "Quality Checks"

The date columnn in my main dataset is called [Date Checked]

Below is my attempt at M Query, which is saying Expression.Error: We cannot convert the value #date(2021, 1, 12) to type Text

= Table.TransformColumnTypes(Table.AddColumn(Source, "Latest Date", each Table.Max(Table.FromList("Quality Checks"[Date Checked]))),{{"Earliest Date", type date}})

Help!

@Anonymous you can get the max date using this expression

List.Max(Table.Column(#"Quality Check", "Date Checked" ))
