Hi All,
I have the following data
I then created a reference of this table and removed all columns except Employee to create the Employee table. I removed duplicate values and created an index column as employee Id.
Is there any way to get this Id in the Sales table? I tried the merge option, but it isn't working.
Please help

Hi again @Jos13 ,
Forgive me if I am not getting your point but when I recreate your steps, duplicating the Sales query to create the Employees Table, I get what I would expect:

Hi @Jos13 ,
Instead of referencing try by duplicating the query.
Hi @Payeras_BI,
I can merge if I duplicate. But If I add sales of a new employee in the Sales table, it won't get reflected in the Employee table. I need to capture the new employee as well. Duplicating the table won't give us the outcome as expected.
Hi @Jos13 ,
I understand both queries are connected to the same Source and is there where you update the Sales table. Is this correct?
You are right @Payeras_BI
I was entering the data directly into Power BI using Enter Data from the Home ribbon. My bad.
I tried data load from an Excel file and it worked perfectly.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it 😊
