Looking for slicer recommendation...
I am currently using a slicer where a representative would "input" a monthly budget amount for the customer (pictured below). The context of the entire dashboard is a product selector for our user group.
Because the supporting table is built in one dollar increments for monthly budget (up to $10,000), using a list and/or search option in the slicer will not work as I believe there are too many "options" and Power BI limits the ability to use these functions.
I am looking for a suggestion of how a user may input the whole dollar amount into a field, and produce the expected calculations.
Thanks for the recommendations.

I found a custom slicer (pictured below) that is a slightly better user experience - despite the lack of currency/commas in the format as my dataset provides. It's called smart filter by OKViz. https://okviz.com/smart-filter/
It's as close as it's gonna get for now.
Cheers!

Hi,
I'd create a column on wich you would establish ranks, and use it for the slicer, i.e., 2000-2100$, 2101-2200$... etc :D

Hi Anonymous,
After a few try(even with some custom visuals in Office Store), I still cannot find a better solution than yours in this scenario. Maybe you can add it as an idea on Power BI Ideas to improve Power BI on this feature? :smileyhappy:
