Locking Past Data

So I have issue where data from months ago changes over time. For example, an acknowledgement from January is incomplete, but then in May, the acknowledgement has been changed to "complete" and now has changed my data for January. Is there any way to fix this? I unfortunently do not have a data associated with the the completion, only the creation of the acknowledgement. If this is unlcear, let me know and I will try to help!

I tried to set up incremental refreshes, but the query is not foldable. If I use snapshots, it will duplicate rows which I do not want to happen. Still very lost on this problem...

@Anonymous , I think you need snapshot, see if DAX append can help
