Line disappears from Chart
Hi Everyone,
I am still a novice at PowerBI, and would appreciate any guidance. My Line disappears from the chart when the same field is present in both Shared Axis and Column Series. I have uploaded both the scenario where:
1) Test1 field in both Shared Axis and Column Series
2) Test1 field only in Shared Axis
In the 2 snippets attached, the only thing that changed between the two is the removal of the Test 1 field in Column Series. Any recommendations are appreciated. How can I maintain the stack column with the Line across? I have been stuck on this for quite sometime now. :/

Hi parry2k. Thanks for taking your time to look at this. I am not familiar with the DAX expression. I know about it, but I did not use any DAX expression for my column and line values. The line and column values are basically the sum of a field in my table.
Also, if I drill down in the graph that is missing the line, I get dot fields(instead of line) in my graph. You can see the secondary y-axis appear again. Very odd.
Thanks,
Dennis

For example, it works well in my side.
If you still have problem, please share your sample pbix file for us have a test.

Hi Lin,
I did a PowerBi update and it did not fix the problem. However, I have a workaround where I use a different field instead which solved the issue. Even in your examples, you were using different fields for column series and shared axis. My challenge was when using the same field for both column series and shared series, the line values are no longer visible. The interesting thing is that when I drill down, they line values shows up as dotted values which is mind boggling.
I genuinely still think it's a bug if I am allowed to use the same field in column series and shared series. Thanks,
Dennis
