Line chart or scatter plot

Good afternoon dears,

I want an opinion on how to create a dashboard that visualizes the behavior of a price over time. That is to say: I load into SAP one validity today, another tomorrow, and another the day after tomorrow. I would like to know which chart suits you best.

Thanks a lot.

Hi @Syndicate_Admin

Based on the information you've provided, where you're looking to track the changes in price over different days, the most suitable chart types for this kind of data visualization are the Line chart or Basic area chart

A Line Chart is ideal for displaying continuous data over time, set against a common scale, and is perfect for showing trends in data at equal intervals. In the context of tracking price changes over time, a line chart can effectively highlight the fluctuations in price, making it easier to identify trends, peaks, and troughs over the specified period.

The Basic Area Chart, which is essentially a Line Chart with the area below the line filled in, can also be a good choice. It emphasizes the magnitude of change over time and can be used to draw attention to the total value across a trend, such as the total increase or decrease in price over the specified period.
