I'm displaying Net Income & ROI on y-axis and Cohorts on x-axis. There are no dates in the data, just three tables: Inc, Exp and Cohort, with measures calculating Total Inc, Total Exp, Net and ROI. Tables are related to Cohort. The Cohorts are labeled ASF 01, ASF 02, etc.
Problem:
The graph is displaying data highest ROI to lowest instead of Cohort order. E.g., ASF 08, ASF 04, ASF 09....
What have I missed??

Hi @newhopepdx ,
Thanks for the reply from @parry2k .
You want to sort by ASF, right?
You are sorting by ROI at this time. Even if you choose to sort by ASF, it will be sorted by the first letter instead of ASF 08, ASF 04, ASF 09 as you want.
To sort correctly, you can follow the steps below:
This is a sample data set I created myself.
|
Cohot |
ROI |
|
ASF 08 |
100 |
|
ASF 04 |
200 |
|
ASF 09 |
300 |
|
ASF 01 |
400 |
|
ASF 02 |
500 |
|
ASF 03 |
600 |
Create an Index column in Power Query.
After exiting Power Query, enter the data view, select the Cohot column, and choose to sort by the Index column.
In the chart, choose to sort by the Cohot column in ascending order.
This is the data before sorting.
The final page effect is as follows:
The pbix file is attached.
If the problem is not solved successfully, I would be grateful if you could provide me with the pbix file.
Remember to remove sensitive data and do not log in to your account in Power BI Desktop when uploading the pbix file.
If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me.

Thanks All! So simple, so obvious!
Didn't realize that sort option was there.
@newhopepdx if you click on the 3 dots on the top right corner of the visual, you can change the sort order and how you want to sort the visual.
