Line Chart X-axis Month displaying

 

 

The above chat show X-axis date for last 1 year. Looking at the axis it shows some random month.

I use filters here 1. Last 1 Year

                          2. Last 2 Years

                          3. Last 3 Years

I need my axis to show all months in a Year, or atleast few more months than the above image.

I tried using Categorial option but it is giving me all dates instead of month.

 

 

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi pxg08680,

     

    In your scenario, you can show Date Hierarchy(only keep Year and Month) as Axis, and use Categorical option, then drill down to Month level to show all month of the selected year. :smileyhappy:

      What ever you told works perfectly. May be my way of describing was wrong. Thing is when I drill down to month level and hover on the line it shows me values for complete month in SUM/MIN/MAX ways. I need the day also.

        Hi pxg08680,

         

        So you want show data at day level, but keep all months as label on X-axis? If that is case, I don't think there is way to do it in Power BI currently. I would suggest you add it as an idea on Power BI Ideas forum to improve Power BI on this feature. :smileyhappy:
