Hi there,
I need 4 data in a line chart: 1 date, 2-week number, 3 value and 4 provider with the following setting:
X-axis with date and week number, Y-axis with value and separate with provider legend.
The line cannot maintain continuous type when I put all the data together. Please see the images below, the continuous type is only maintained when 3 out of 4 data are selected.
I have been trying for a couple of hours and cannot find a solution. Is there any suggestion?
@zealotworld when you are looking at the data at the date level with provider, seems like not all the provider has data for each date and that's why you are not seeing the continuity, having said that when you remove the provider, the data for all the provider aggregated and it gives that it is a continuous line.
A simple way to test is, to create a matrix table, use date on rows, provider on column, and value on values, and you will see some of the providers will not have data for certain dates and that's what you see in the line chart.

@zealotworld continuous type only works if the column is of type date and number, if it is a text it will not work.

Hi @parry2k , the data type for column [Date] is Date type and column [Week] is a whole number already.
Hi @zealotworld ,
Where are you getting this hierarchy from is it from the fact table or are you using a calendar table?
It seems to me that you have missing dates values on your model so it does not return continuous data.

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi @MFelix , X axis is from the calendar table that contains a continuous date and week number.
I am very confused because the continuous line works for
value + week + legend
value + date + legend
value + week + date
but not
value + week + date + legend
