Limited Tooltip info for Stacked Column Chart

Can the "tooltip" include all the departments when hovernig over the data for a single day? Right now it is difficult to see the total number of people from each department, as I can only see 1 department at a time. I don't need to show the totals but the "present" value for all departments for each day.

Hi @mariuschrc

As I explained in my response at the discussion that you looked at, the generic tooltip has e context of the graph ( this is a reason that you see just the part that you are hovering)

So, if you need it in another way you can generate the tooltip in the needed format and use the functionality of a customized tooltip.
For this you need to create a measure for every department like :

Finance seats = CALCULATE(DISTINCTCOUNT('Table'[Present]),'Table'[Department]="finance")+0
Hr seats = CALCULATE(DISTINCTCOUNT('Table'[Present]),'Table'[Department]="HR")+0
.
.
.
then create on another page visuals with these measures + some shapes for the colors :

Modify a new page as a tooltip page

From the graph change the tooltip option from default to customized:

Ritaf1983_2-1703184224976.png

Result (if there was more than 1 day every bar were filtered the tooltip according to a specific day)

Hi @mariuschrc
Glad to help please consider Accepting it as the solution to help the other members find it more quickly.

According to other questions:
1. I don't think there is an option to filter zeros because there are measures and not table rows.
2. About the date you can create a measure like :

Selected date = " Seats distrubution for " & SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[Date/Time])
and use it as a title

Hi Ritaf,

Thank you for your quick reply. This solution does not match my issue Solved: Single Stack selection in Stackbar chart - Microsoft Fabric Community

I will add the sample data + an image I created to emphasize what I am looking for.

I am using a Line and Stacked Column Chart

Sorry for my late reply and thank you for the tips. It worked! Can you please tell me how do I get rid of "0"s like not showing the departments that have 0 presence on that specific day? And is there any chance I can add the date in that empty space on the top of the tooltip/matrix?

mariuschrc_2-1703628082281.png

PS. I used this but it still shows me the department name; how I can not show it at all when value's 0?

Marketing = VAR MarketingCount = CALCULATE(DISTINCTCOUNT('Table'[Present]),'Table'[Department]="Marketing")
RETURN IF(MarketingCount = 0, BLANK(), MarketingCount)"
