In this video we unravel the secrets of leveraging the RELATED DAX function with inactive relationships in Power BI. Relationships are the backbone of effective data modeling, offering a spectrum of types—from one to many, many to many, to one to one. Additionally, we have the flexibility to set cross-filter directions, be it single or both, active or inactive relations.
Sometimes we are in a situation where we cannot have an active relationship between two tables which is normal because we have a USERELATIONSHIP dax function to make inactive relationships active.
Building on this foundation, we'll also delve into the robust capabilities of the RELATED and RELATEDTABLE DAX functions. While there's a dedicated video on these functions (link provided below), our focus today is on uncovering the potential of the RELATED function in the context of inactive relationships. Expect a real-time example walkthrough to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the concept.
Enjoy and share, and leave your valuable and constructive feedback.
