Language preference

I created report in Japanese, which is my first language, and now i have to report in English.

Most of sections are replaced in english by changing language setting (such as "Total" in sum).

However, "pull down slicer" to set the date has not been changed yet. Japanese letters correspond to" Year" and "month" has been remained.
Could you let me know how to change it?

Thank you in advance.スクリーンショット 2025-01-02 155255.jpg

Hi, @ShunTas

First of all, you need to have the Tabular Editor:

https://github.com/TabularEditor/TabularEditor

Tabular Editor 3

Open this software:

vjianpengmsft_10-1736147820370.png

At this point, we'll need to re-add the fields to the slicer:

If you want to change the name of the hierarchy, you need to go ahead and modify it:

After the above steps, you will be able to correctly modify the language of the date hierarchy of the hierarchy.
Of course, you can open your report file in Power BI desktop, then open the Tabular Editor to modify it, and finally re-upload your PBIX file. This is the recommended approach because it guarantees that your files on Power BI Service won't be affected after the modification.

Thank you sir.

However, they didn't solve my issue.. here are the result.

Could you provide any other solution if you have?

1.> there isn't "rename" on right click menu

2.> only i could change locale of date.  Japanese labels appear to be generated automatically.

3.> Changed. but not resolved

4.>there is no title. title is off.

To change slicer labels from Japanese to English in Power BI:

  1. Rename Fields: In the Fields pane, right-click the column used in the slicer and rename it to English.
  2. Power Query Editor: Use Transform Data to edit column headers or values from Japanese to English.
  3. Language Settings: Set the default language to English under File > Options > Regional Settings.
  4. Update Slicer Title: In the slicer settings, edit the title under Visualizations > Format > Title.

This will update the slicer labels.
