Keep historical data in the model

Hi,   I am connected to a database that refreshes every 24hrs. The database does not store historical data when it refreshes and only cares about the status quo. I need to keep the historical data ...

To my knowledge this is not possible. Power BI is a data exploration/visualization tool. "Snapshotting' must be done in the source system.
