KPI visual with total YTD value instead of latest value

I have four KPI visuals to show the to show the YTD achievement of a specific KPI. However, I found out that the KPI visual takes the value of the latest month only instead of the total value for all months (YTD).

Below screenshots illustrates the problem:

- Visuals without changing the Month filter show the same values as if we filter for August (latest month).

Remark: The Matrix table highlighted in yellow shows the correct values in both cases.

- Without date filtering

- After filtering for August data. Note: visuals in this case show the correct outcome.

Any idea on how to make the KPIs visuals calculate the total values (YTD) so that they match the matrix table?

Thanks!

Hi, @OmarSaleh

The default kpi vision will display the latest category in trend axis.
If you need to display YTD, one way is to add a row of totals to the original table.
Alternatively, you can use a custom visual KPI Indicator, and then change the aggregation type to sum.

so we can get a result like this:

Hope this helps.

Thanks @v-angzheng-msft for your reply. Is there any way to make the visual color based on the the value, if bigger than the target it should be green, otherwise red? like in KPI visual. Thanks!
