June Power BI Desktop version : Unsupported Table name " Mesures" has been found in data model

Hi,

I was using April 2023 Power BI Desktop version (French).
After installing June 2023 version, I got this new error when trying to open an existing pbix file :

Release:
June 2023

Product Version:
2.118.828.0 (23.06) (x64)

Error Message:
Unsupported Table name " Mesures" has been found in data model schema.

Can you help me?

Regards,
Denis

Did you ever figure this out?  It just happened to me too.  Now, when I try to open the the pbix file in Power BI Desktop, this error stops the loading so I cannot open the file.  I don't know of any other way to change the table name.  It seems like an impossible loop.

Download an older version of Power bi from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/fundamentals/desktop-latest-update-archive?tabs=powerbi-d... I downloaded November 2024 Update (link in the botom just before the previous month's header), I had some alert notifications, but file opend, rename the table in it, save the file and go back to the new version.
I had the same problem. My table was named [ Measures ] = BLANK(), but in the January update it doesn't support [ ] table naming, even if I try to name the table that way in the new version, I just can't

Hi, @denisP33FR

Based on the error message you are seeing, it seems that the issue is related to the fact that you are trying to open an existing pbix file with the new version of Power BI Desktop. One possible cause of this issue could be that the pbix file was created with an older version of Power BI Desktop and is not compatible with the new version.

To resolve this issue, you can try to open the pbix file with the older version of Power BI Desktop that was used to create the file. If that is not possible, you can try to create a new pbix file with the new version of Power BI Desktop and then import the data from the old pbix file into the new one.
