Join tables

Hello

I would like to join table 1 and table2 who has common project name, and would like to have value3 repeated.

I know the question has been already asked but couldnt find it. Apologies for the duplicate.

Hi, @Anonymous 

According to your picture, I think you want to merge table1 and table2 and repeat value 3, you can achieve this in Power query editor, you can try my steps:

  1. Go to Power query editor, select table1, click merge query as new:

  1. Set the merge query like this:

  1. Expand the table, then change the column name and table name

And you can get what you want, like this:

@Anonymous ,You can use Merge in power https://radacad.com/append-vs-merge-in-power-bi-and-power-query

 

if they are already connected , you can use summarize

 

summarize(Table2, Table2[project name], Table2[value1], Table2[value2], Table1[value3])
