    Thankyou, amitchandak, for your response.

    Hi ClaireH101,

We appreciate your inquiry made through the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

Based on my understanding, the issue you are experiencing commonly occurs due to one or more of the following reasons: an expired Fabric trial workspace, insufficient permissions, use of custom or preview features that are not supported in the Power BI Service, an outdated version of Power BI Desktop, or publishing to an incompatible workspace type (Pro versus Premium).

Kindly follow the steps below which may help in resolving the issue:

    1. In Power BI Desktop, sign out of the current session and sign in again.
    2. Ensure that your workspace is either Pro or Premium Per User (PPU), and not an expired Fabric trial. You must have Admin or Member access to publish successfully.
    3. Disable any preview features by navigating to File > Options > Preview Features, and uncheck all options. Restart Power BI Desktop and verify the issue.
    4. Attempt publishing without using uncertified or custom visuals.
    5. Confirm that the .pbix file is saved on a local drive and not on OneDrive or SharePoint.
    6. Update Power BI Desktop to the latest version. Additionally, try uploading the .pbix file via Power BI Service and verify if the problem persists.

If publishing continues to fail, please provide the exact error message displayed (if any) in a popup, along with a screenshot of the error ensuring that no sensitive information is visible. Also, kindly confirm whether your workspace is Pro, Premium Per User, or Fabric Trial.
