I am trying to bring in new data from an excel sheet which is already being used as a data source but when I try to bring in the data from this one tab, Bi hangs at 'detecting relationhips' when 'apply query changes' and does nothing after that. Then if I press Cancel, I then have to wait a long time before I can do anything else.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this might be and how to resolve?
Thanks and any further questions would be welcomed if I have not explained clearly enough.
Cheers
Hi @Anonymous,
As Greg_Deckler said, auto detected relationship may caused the issue when you refresh data. I'd like to suggest you modify option as below to prevent the error due when generate/refresh data model.
In addition, you can also check query table records to confirm if any wrong data or table structure changes after data refresh.

Perhaps first try turning off detect relationships?
Thanks Greg for the reply.
Guess what? I am new with this and so if I turn that off will I not lose some of the functionality or is that not how it works?
I will try that for sure and see what happens.
Cheers
