Hi All,
Please see the below image.
I was trying to create a calculate column of [SUM( Y)/SUM(X) ]* 100 and create a pie chart but it's not working as expected. It doens't have the summarise option. Please help
You need to create a new column with this formula: DIVIDE(table.Y;table.X)
Then, you have to change the format in percentage: menu bar -> modeling -> format

Hi @Kolumam
You are only calculating the percentage of Y on X.
Maybe you should try :
DIVIDE(Calculate(SUM(Table[Y]);All(Table));Calculate(SUM(Table[X]);All(Table))
And then choose to display it as percentage

I did but doesn't split up.. shows the same for all
Did you calculate new columns with a formula like divide(sum(table.Y);sum(table.X))? or like divide(table.Y;table.X)?
Tried both.
It's not showing the split up of percentage.
Are your data in the same database of the site name? Is there a link between data and the site name?
Hi
The average of % solar is 31% but it is showing as 34% ( when I do SUM(annual PV consumed)/sum(annual Load)). How do I do a weighted average to acheive 31%?
Hi @Kolumam,
Have you solved your problem? If not, please share a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the issue, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)
Best Regards,
Cherry
I have used your data and power bi has calculated the right average.
I think there is a problem with the link between your data, but I'm not sure
