I just installed the Version May 2023 update, but after installing PBI Desktop has an issue when transforming data to the model.
When I go to change the data type and apply transform the columns name has been changed to (attribute #). I have tried to add a new step to apply to change the column name to a new name, but no effect.
What is something wrong and how to fix the issue?

I have installed Power BI Desktop June 2023 Update (2.118.286.0) and tried it. The issue was not resolved.

Hi @duypham ,
Please install the latest version 2.118.828.0 through the below link instead of microsoft store.

Hi @duypham ,
By my test, can't reproduce the problem with the same version. Here's my suggestions.
1.Directly change the data type in Desktop instead of Power Query.
2.Uninstall and reinstall Power BI by the below link:
Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center

Hi @v-yanjiang-msft,
With this problem when I transform the data type (source SAP S/4HANA) I have a test on another PC using PBI Desktop (Update May 2023 version 2.117.984.0) and have the same issue.
I think have an issue with the PBI Desktop Update version of May 2023. Because I have another problem when appending data from two tables (source Dataverse)
I have uninstalled the PBI Desktop May 2023 Update version and reinstalled the previous version (April 2023 Update (2.116.404.0)) the problems were resolved.
Hi @duypham ,
Haven't received similar issue so far, you can permenantly roll back to the April version. If there is any progress, I will update here.
