Is there a way to protect DAX code from viewing ?

Hi there,

I wonder if there is a way to protect DAX code from viewing ? If I make a Desktop report and want to share it in the organization I publish it to the Power BI Service. However there is an option in Power BI Service to download the whole pbix file, where all the DAX can be viewed. Tried with Apps, but there's still a way to go to Report itself and download it as pbix file.

What is is the best way to distribute a commercial Report so that DAX can not be viewed?

Thanks.

I thought that the new viewer role which was announced a few months ago will let you prevent people from downloading reports https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-the-new-viewer-role-for-power-bi-workspaces/

Hi @gvg ,

I've once investigated this for my company, but couldn't come up with a solution. So it seems this is not currently supported.

Cheers
