I have a few charts which contain a bit of data and it is making the legend look quite cluttered and unreadable. I also don't want to allocate more space for the chart/legend as it is not the most important element on the page. Therefore I'm wondering if there's a built in way (or some handy hack) to show only parts of the legend for example the top 3 results? So far the only way I've managed to change the legend is by making the font color white and inserting text labels over the top, but there must be a better way?

hello @PowerAutomater
i assumed you use column value as legend. The legend label is there because you have a data for it.
Unless you remove the data associated with that blank legend label then the legend will be disappear as well.
i think your solution is good by making those color transparant to background.
Or as you mentioned above, only show top 3 highest counting should do the trick (but this will make your visual only show 3 legend).
there are probably other ways to do this depend on your outcome data and visualization.
Hope this will help.
Thank you.

hello @PowerAutomater
how about removing the unwanted data using visual filter or page filter?
Thank you.
Sorry I don't mean removing the data from the chart itself, that needs to stay there, just removing some of the labels from the legend as it is too cluttered
