Is there a way to default the selection of a slicer?

I would like to set default year selection for below slicer. Any suggestion to set this up? Thanks

This article is for defaulting for current month, but I imagine it's possible to tweak it so it works for current year.

Setting defaults directly is not currently supported, but you can try using bookmark:

Create report bookmarks in Power BI to share insights and build stories - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
