Hi My work has a report that is currently being worked on utilizing Power BI Desktop. The old report is an Excel file where a cell is used to input in a dollar value, then using that cell, calculation is performed by designation to that cell.
I am wondering if this is possible using Power BI. I tried number range parameter and it would give me a slicer to slide up and down with a range, but it won't allow me to just input the number into the box. The box would become zero. The number is a "target" number that management wants to achieve. Anyone tried parameter range?
Otehr than a slider, your dynamic input options in PowerBI are limited. This is because the essence of PowerBi is to help you cut up/ re-arrange existing data into more manageable chunks, and to view what you already have - not create what you don't have.
Actually, you can just click the number and that should allow you to input into the box without using the slider! To make this more obvious to you end user, consider hiding the slider in the options.
