Is there a way for a service to specify which columns can and cannot be used as query parameters?

Hi --

We are trying to expose some data to our product's users via OData in a way that can be consumed and manipulated within PowerBI.  For some of our EntitySets it needs to be possible to specify query parameters that can constrain the returned EntitySet.  But not all of a given EntitySet's columns are appropriate for using as query and filter parameterrs.  Is there a way of informing PowerBi with the inital EntityModel returned which columns may and may not be used in the query parameters portion?  And then can Power BI only display those parameters when gathering parameter values from the vvalue?

Thanks,

Hi mclagett,

"Is there a way of informing PowerBi with the inital EntityModel returned which columns may and may not be used in the query parameters portion? "

<-- Could you please clarify more details about your expected requirement and provide some dummy data?

Jimmy Tao
