Is it possible to save the tables within Power BI Datasets to an Excel or Sharepoint?

Hey Y'all PBI Gurus,

Wondering if it's possible to save the tables within Power BI Datasets to an Excel or Sharepoint List format.

So basically I have a PBI report (with PBI datasets). Want to save/export these PBI datasets into SharePoint.

Wondering if anyone has done this before.

Thanks very much,

HPandya

Hi @Anonymous ,

In addition to the manual paste as @kcsteele mentioned, you can also choose to use Dax Studio
or with the help of Power BI Desktop local port number.

Here are the details of how to do it:

How to Export Power BI Data to Excel (Step-by-Step)

Extract Table Size from Power BI Desktop Using DAX Studio

Exporting Data from Power BI Desktop to Excel and CSV – Part 1: Copy & Paste and DAX Studio Methods

Recommend:

Exporting Data from Power BI Desktop to Excel and CSV – Part 2: Importing Power BI Data Directly to Excel

Hope it helps,

you can right click a table or column and select "copy table" or just "copy" to copy a single column and then paste into an excel workbook.

Thanks very much! Is possible to avoid manual steps? Kind of save the PB datasets directly to the Sharepoint?

Thank you,
