I have a table on a report with certain fields, one field being Team Name and wanted to know if it is possible for a table to drill down to the details. I know a chart can be drilled down, but an a table ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hey Tony,
As long as the value you're drilling through is in both the table you're using to drill through, and the details table, you should be able to drill through to another page.
We use a hidden page detail table here all the time and can drill through on dimensions and aggregates. Sometimes those values can be a little off if you are filtering your aggregate and attempting to use the raw data in the drill-through, but if you're using the same aggregate you should have no issue.
Hopefully that helps!

So it is possible to drill down from page 1 with a table visual to page 2 with a table visual.
Page 1 table would have the team name and Page 2 table would have the "children" team items, meaning a 1-Many relationship ?
Do I need to have the relationships between the 2 tables(1 parent table and the other the child table) ?
I have this table currently:
Issue/Project/Value/Team
ABC-123, ABC, 3, The ABC Team
ABC-456, ABC, 5, The ABC Team
DEF-890, DEF, 1, The DEF Team
In PowerBI I am using the following on the table visual:
Team(Don't summarize)
Value(Sum)
So my visual would be:
The ABC Team 8
The DEF Team 1
What I want to do, is if a person select "The ABC Team", I want to drill down to the details:
ABC-123, 3
ABC-456, 5
Yes,
As long as you have the relationship between the two tables, you just need to add the fields you want to drill through into the Drill-Through Fields on the page you would like to drill to.
From there just right click and you'll pass those filters onto the second page.
