Is it possible to connect Power BI to SQL Server 2022 with "Strict" encryption enabled (TDSv8)?

So it is unknown or no one cares? 😉

 

AFAIK PowerBI Desktop has no such feature directly yet.

That is strange because the Strict mode was officially introduced in SQL Server 2022 in November 2022.

 

We may get results using the newest ODBC or OleDb drivers, and set up encryption there, however, it is somewhat cumbersome in our scenarios.
