Is it possible to add a report from a published app to Microsoft Teams?

I would like to be able to leverage the capabilities of PBI Apps but provide a particular report from said apps in Microsoft Teams. When using the default PBI Tab in Teams, you can only choose reports from a workspace, which defeats the purpose of publishing an app that the owner can update when significant changes have been made.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Apps in power BI are to be used within PBI service, on the other microsft products (teams, sharepoint, ....) you are abble to add a report but not an app created in PBI.

These are different concepts of sharing the PBI reports.

@MFelix ,

Thank you for your response. I certainly hope this changes in the future as this means a Report Creator has to create a separate staging workspace for "in progress" reports rather than use a designated workspace and just publish updates to the app when needed so these changes also appear in Microsoft Teams.

Hi @Anonymous ,

When you refer to changes is having a report with several pages/reports that people can't see when they enter the Teams/apps?

Don't know if gives what you need but on a report if you hide a page that will not be visible either in Teams or in the Apps, so no need to have additional workspaces for work in progress.
