Is Measure / DAX function available in Power BI online version?
Hi,
I have created a Power BI desktop online trial account expecting to use the DAX function for doing some reports for my assignment. However, it seems there's no DAX function in the online version and the top menu / ribbon is different from the full version. May I know if this is normal or is there anything I miss to set? Thanks.
Hi It is not possible to edit the data model (read create calculated columns and measures) within the Power BI Service. You have to use the Desktop or Excel or Visual Studio locally.

Thank you. Since I'm using Mac, does it mean I can only use Excel to do the Measure then create the data set and do the dashboard in Power BI online?
