Inventory Analysis

Hi,

Please see tables below and key requirements in red:  Click to Data Download link

Stock.jpg

  • TOTAL SHELF-LIFE - is total life of any product when they are manufactured.
  • MIN ACCEPTABLE LIFE - is minimum life a customer will accept (per plant per product).  So they can vary  based on PRODUCT_PLANT combination.
  • SHELF-LIFE IN DAYS FROM TODAY - how much life is left for each product.

Demand.jpg

2 key requirements:

  1. Insufficient demand to consume.
    1. Stock on hand is more than Demand - only consider number of weeks available in the Demand table
  2. Sufficient demand but Insufficient acceptable shelf life
    1. Remaining shelf-life of products will reduce as we look into week on week in the Demand table.
    2. Considering MIN ACCEPTABLE LIFE, need to identify how much of Stock will be consumed and how much we will NOT be consumed.
If possible to produce a separate table achieving above key requirement that will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

@v-lionel-msft  Thanks but your solution is not fulfilling 2 key requirements below:

2 key requirements:

  1. Insufficient demand to consume.
    1. Stock on hand is more than Demand - only consider number of weeks available in the Demand table
  2. Sufficient demand but Insufficient acceptable shelf life
    1. Remaining shelf-life of products will reduce as we look into week on week in the Demand table.
    2. Considering MIN ACCEPTABLE LIFE, need to identify how much of Stock will be consumed and how much we will NOT be consumed.

In your PBIX, stock cumulative figures are just repeating.  It should reduce as look into week on week demand.

Also,  it should consider MIN ACCEPTABLE LIFE.

Thanks for looking into this.

Hi @mb0307

Sorry I don't have any such reports but if you post a representative sampelof your data I'm sure someoen can help.  As it is the question is too vague to really offer anything other than general suggestions.  We need to see your data to analyse it.

regards

Phil
