Intercepting Reports!

For example, I have a scheduled report for monday morning which will eventually feed a series of visuals, however I need to make a manually intervention that consists of changing values within a certain field and hopefully without exporting and importing via excel.  I used to have control of these changes in excel by the use of VB6 and userforms and was wondering if anyone knew if power bi had anything similar capabilities.

In essence, there are changes that cannot be made on our database and therefore we need to hold a cumulative and current list of changes, in power bi, that need to be applied to certain data reports before they are visualised for the end user.

Is this something power bi is capable of accommodating? I hope I have explained myself well enough.

Hi @Andrew_Kerr, PowerBI is data visualization tool, you can't modify underlying data using it. There are some techniques that allow you to do so (such as integration of PowerBI with PowerApps but it's an advanced topic - see this video for further details).

First you change your data (without using PowerBI), then you refresh PowerBI to visualize the results. That's how it works.
