Interactive Dashboard - Power Apps

Hi,

Just a brief background: We're using SQL as our main data source and it's connected to our on-prem via the gateway. As there is a security concerns, using our SQL on-prem, I'm using just our SharePoint Online list for now.

The requirement is that we have a report in Power BI (including visuals) which has the following sample columns:

Role - Database Name

Columns

  • Role (Choice)
  • Target Incentive in %
  • Annual Base Salary

This was the initial app embedded:

07212020-1.jpg

I was able to edit the app and retrieve the data using the PowerBI Integration built-in and was able to do this:

07212020-2.jpg

The problem with this is that while I'm able to create the Power BI visual with Power Apps embedded, I'm not sure how to do this now with Submit so that I can make sure that the data is submitted back to the data source when I make edits to that item.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

HI @hexarthrius,

AFAIK, power bi is a read-only report design tool that not able to send changes or dates back to your datasource. I don't think you can achieve these operations on power bi side based on a power app visuals.

@hexarthrius , power app submit button should take care. Power bi has no role in that.
