I have a Power BI file with an order table containing order information, a customer table with a 1-to-many relationship in both directions to the order table, and a discount table with order discount information in a many-to-many relationship in the order to discount direction.
I make a table with all orders with discounts and it works fine.
In this same table, I'd like to display orders with and without discounts, so I right-click on one of the fields in the discount table and “display items without data”.
My table then displays all the orders, but for all my orders without discounts, the information in the amount columns is missing.
I tested by deleting all the information in the discount table and the information was found and exists:
Why does some information no longer appear with this feature? Is there an order to do this, so that Power BI calculates everything correctly?
Thanks for your help,
Hi @matdub40 ,
Can you please share some sample data and expected output. it will be helpful for us to solve your query in short time and in right way.
Thanks,
Hi @Ankur04 ,
You can see it in my screenshots; I should have the information from the second table with just the third line showing discounts and all the information filled in, but for the lines without discounts, the amount information is missing:
For all my orders without discounts, the information in the amount columns is missing, even though it’s present in the `order` table, like `ORDER_NUMBER` and others, which I’m able to retrieve correctly.
Hi @matdub40 ,
This is the expected behaviour, the order '996992' and 'wetsuits' combination only has discount and other details. so other row with different combination of data will be showing blank.
if you need to achieve some requirement then please provide sample data and expected output.
you are happy with this answer please mark as a solution for others to find !
Kudos are always appreciated!
Thanks,
Ankur
No, this is not the expected behavior.
I took another example: for lines without discount, the amount information is missing, even though all the order numbers come from the same table:
If I delete the items from the discount table, I get them.
I'd like exactly the same table as I have in one, but with the order amounts without discount.
