Infographic Designer; Mark Designer is greyed out

Hello,

I recently saved a new visual that was using Infographic designer. I went to click on the pencil to bring up the Mark Designer area so I could make some more edits and all I get now is a blank grey box.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Are you using the lastest version of Power BI Desktop? Are you using Infographic designer 1.8.9? I can't reproduce your issue, I suggest create a review for it : https://appsource.microsoft.com/en/product/power-bi-visuals/WA104380898?tab=Reviews

Hi,

Yes I was using the lastest Desktop version and yes it was 1.8.9. I had to recreate the visual and what I found out was that I had uploaded the visual as a shape when it was an image and for whatever reason it accepted it to start with but when I made some changes to the Mark designer area to stat with it worked fine. Then when I saved the file and opened again it stated this behavior.

I have since recreated the visual but brought the .png file in as a image, not as a .svg file as a shape and all seems to be working fine.
