Info/Pre-requisite for Learning Power BI

Hi All

 

Admin please move this thread to appropriate group, if this question is not relevant in this group.

 

Can some one suggest or guide for the below:

1. what are all the pre-requisites for a new comer to acquire MS Power BI as skill?

2. What is the level of DWH concepts knowledge will help in learning the tool?

3. Are there are programming languages knowledge required?

 

Any other key inputs would be helpful. The need of this enquiry is for entering into Job market in Canada as Fresh graduate

    Hi jpcwork,

     

    Based on my experience, there is no pre-requisite for learning Power BI. You can just go through the Power BI Guided Learning to start your learning journey through Power BI with this sequenced collection of courses, and understand the extensive and powerful capabilities of Power BI. If you're a beginner with Power BI this course will get you going, and if you're a Power BI veteran this course will tie concepts together, and fill in the gaps.

      Thank you for the response. 

      1. Is power BI all about SSRS only?

      2. Will it add value to the Resume by learning SSIS, SSAS for a beginner?

       

      Is it possible for you to through some light on Big data solutions offered by Microsoft?

      As I am about to decide and start the learning, wanted some inputs from experts.
