Hey folks, I have an in-built scatter plot and a box plot custom visual on my report page as below.
As can be seen, both charts use the teal, green, red colours correctly.
Now, if I filter out the second scenario from the slicer, the box plot changes the color of scenario-3 from the third color (red) to the second color (green) in the palette. However, the scatter (and the other in-built Power BI charts), just hides Green and scenario-3 continues to be red.
I'd like all my charts to get the same behaviour in choosing the colors. Is it possible to make scenario-3, in the in-built Scatter plot, to switch to the third color (green), instead of remaining red?
It looks like an issue in the custom box plot visual. I set up different colors for specific categories in Format > Data Color. When I use a slicer to filter category items, the columns don't display in the colors I have set. If I select only one category at a time and switch the selection, every category column appears in the same color.

@dpc_development , I checked on of box plot. And I do not see option of fx(advance conditional formatting in color). If that option is there we can force color using category
@amitchandak Yes, that is true. It's strange that both of them use different color selection logic, with Microsoft (in-built charts) pre-assigning a color to each value in the slicer. I wonder whether we can influence the slicer such that the items re-order themselves to force a certain ordering and choosing of colors.
