Incremental Data Refresh

Hi

I have a SQL data source with 50M rows.  I need to refresh my desktop monthly, but don't need all the data refreshed - just the new data added that month.

Is is possible to simply add the new data to the old data without doing the entire query again?  It is massively time consuming.

Thanks

Hi @DataGuy2016,

In addition, here is a similar idea shared on Power BI Ideas. You can vote it up and add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.Smiley Happy

Have a read of this blog.  I think it's the best we can do on the current feature set.

While it will work ok, it will make your PBI Desktop model bigger than it needs to be
