Incorrect parameter values when using MAX()

Hi everyone

I want to create a report where the column name dynamically changes depending on the month selected.

I have created a parameter field table which looks like:

When I select a date from the Calendar table, say 2024-03-18,  the parameter is 2026-11-01, which is the penultimate month in my calendar table. I would have thought the variable CurrentDate would be  2024-03-18, as this is the date I selected in filters on the visual.  Can someone explain what is happening here, and how I might get around this problem.  I suspect it might be because the parameter table is not being filter by the date I am selecting because it does not have a relationship with the calendar table? Puzzled.

You get extra points for creativity but that's not what parameters are for.

because it does not have a relationship with the calendar table?

that, and a couple of other reasons.

Keep trying though - this is interesting.
