Incorrect Amount when Formatting the Column in Data View

When I format a Numeric column in Data View to Whole Number and Decimals, the Amount is no longer the same.

Any recommendations?

Hi  @Cowansville125 ,

When you format the Number column as integer and decimal in Data View, the amount is automatically rounded based on the type you set.

Adjust to an integer, omitting the following decimal point

When adjusting to Decimals, the system will automatically display a few decimal places according to the data format, and you can choose how many decimal points to display.

Hello @Cowansville125,

You can adjust the column's formatting settings to ensure that the desired precision is maintained:

  1. Select the numeric column in Data View that you want to format.
  2. In the "Modeling" tab of the Power BI ribbon, click on the "Format" drop-down menu.
  3. Choose "More options..." to open the formatting options for the selected column.
  4. In the "Format" pane that appears on the right side, adjust the formatting settings to meet your requirements.

If you want the column to display as a whole number without any decimals, make sure to set the "Decimal places" option to zero.
