Include a feed of announcements in dashboard

I am building a dashboard for a department in my organization.  They would like it to include a space for announcements.  At first I thought of having their communications resource keep up an excel file of announcements with dates stored in Sharepoint, but that seems kind of lame.  We use Yammer and Teams here...is there a way to connect PowerBI to a thread and display the most recent posts?

Power BI desktop supports tyGraph connector that allows users to get data from Yammer.

Then you should be able to create report based on the yammer data.
