Inactive Relationship Between Dates

I have a report with multiple tables (including a dates table) all of which are imported from SQL. I already have 2 relationships from Dates to a survey table, but when I attempt to create a 2nd inactive relationship for use in a specific visual, it takes nearly 15 minutes to create the relationship and degrades overall report performance. I havce verified both fields are date only and not date/time. There are no invalid data points in the fields. Aside from this relationship, there is no other draw on the other date field in my survey table.

Is there any reason for this type of performance drop? I had a similar issue on another report using many of the same tables and structure, but not this particular date field in surveys, and using those suggestions resolved the issue for that report.

hi, @KayceVC

I think this case should not only happen between dates. It should be a performance problem.

For the performance problem, the best way is optimize your data model, and for your case, the model must be big and complex.

So if you should optimize your data model or formula. and here is a blog for you refer to:

I tried creating a seperate table just for the Resolved Date with the same result. As soon as a relationship between the dates table and Resolved Date is made, the relationship takes upwards of 15 mins to create/edit (though it will delete instantly) and reduces measure/calculated column performance to the same amount of time to create/edit/delete.
