Hope this is the correct section to post this topic.
Our organisation uses 'InEight Document' for document control and project administration - Forms, mail, transmittals, etc.
We have an API that links to Power BI via InEight reporting.
Our issue is with datasource settings.
If we update credentials in InEight, there seems to be a long delay in PBI realising. If we try to update the credentials in PBI to match the new passwords in InEight, we get authentication errors because PBI still is using the earlier passwords.
If we do not update the credentials in PBI, it can be up to 2 weeks before refreshes start to fail.
Wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this and whether there is anything that can be done.
Thanks, Jane

Hi and thanks for the suggestions.
Unfortuantely we still have issues with authenticating to InEight from PowerBI.
We are going back through InEight themselves as they have multiple clients using PowerBI.
Thanks for the update. Going through InEight sounds like the right move since they already work with other Power BI customers. Once you get the solution, please share it here so it can help others too. if you have any other issues please reach community.
Hi @ellisjf
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Forum Community.
When you change the credentials in InEight, Power BI might still be using the old ones it has saved (cached), which can cause authentication errors. To fix this, go to your dataset settings in the Power BI Service, find the data source credentials, and completely remove and re-enter them instead of just editing.
