Import data from xlsx fles showing nulls and looking weird(?)

Hi,
I imported xlsx files originally looking like this:

binslync28_0-1727758486304.png

Completely normal until imported into PBI and now its like this:

binslync28_1-1727758510143.png

There are times it goes back to normal and there's times it doesn't. Anyone encountered the same issue and has solution? Please do tell me.

Thank you in advance!

  • If excel file in protectview it will casue probles. make sure that excel file available for edit.
  • Check the data types from excel to Power bi
  • There may be chance to expect excel file is corrupted.

Some times power query  applies transformations  by default. you may need to remove those transformations.

It would be best if you can share your excel file and pbix file  where you are facing the issue .
