Import/Manipulate data from Analysis Services / Data Cube
- 6 years ago
Hi Smokey24 ,
Yes. If you connect to AS with live connection, it means that no data from the tabular model is imported into Power BI Desktop. We get data and relationships from AS directly. You could view the data that is available in AS.
For more details, suggest you to take a good look at the document:Connect to Analysis Services tabular data in Power BI Desktop .

So if I load the measures in on table and the dimensions in a separate table I would have a fact table with the measures and dim tables.
My question is, if I do load it this way are the tables connected? Meaning I would have a sum in the fact table i.e. 1000000 and the stores in a dim table.
Is it then still possible to to say see which store sold how much? So I would have a list of stores and their respective sales?
