Images from a sharepoint via URL not showing on iPhone but are on an Android

Hi,

I have created a report that works great on the web version where we can view images via a URL that are saved in a sharepoint list. This is the video here that I used to create this: A little trick for SharePoint Online Images in Power BI

However, it was pulled up to me that if you are viewing the report on an iPhone in Power Bi online you can't see the pitctures in the report. If I right click on the image and copy the value to open in another tab I can see the image, however I can't in the report. This being said, an Android user who also opens the dashboard in the web version of Power Bi they can see the images in the dashboard (there is no need for them to right click to copy the value to then open in another tab).

My question is, is there a way around this, so that iPhone users can view the pictures in the dashboard?

Also, if anyone knows of a way that is similar to this were I can get videos in a sharepoint list to play in power bi, instead of having to copy the value and paste in a new tab, that would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

Hi @emilyrichardson ,

If users are accessing the report via the Power BI mobile app instead of a browser, try testing the report on both the app and browser to see if the issue persists in both.

@v-bofeng-msft Thank you for the reply. Pictures don't appear in the app version of Power Bi on any device, they will only be shown on the online version. So an iPhone user can't see the pictures in the app or online version, but an Android user can't seen them on the app but they can in the online version.

Hi @emilyrichardson ,

Have you tried using other browsers on your iPhone, such as Edge or Chrome, instead of Safari? It might be worth trying a different browser.

Best Regards,

Bof

Hi @v-bofeng-msft I've justed tried Edge and Chrome and pictures aren't appearing on them either

Hi @emilyrichardson ,

It's possible that iPhones don't share cross-domain credentials, which could be due to restrictions in iOS. This might affect how cookies and authentication tokens are handled between different domains, leading to issues with displaying images or content in Power BI reports.

Perhaps you could consider looking into 'iphone cross-domain cookies' and check if there are any related settings on the iPhone.

Best Regards,

Bof
