Hello,
I cannot really believe I am the first human asking this question but I do not find a solution on the Internet:
I used a Page Navigator which is perfectly fine and beautiful. It shows me the 5 pages I have created. All I want to do now is to hide the ugly Windows default Page Pane at the Bottom that screams Microsoft Excel into everybody's face.
Yes I read the helpful hint that I can right click and hide the Pages. Unforunately apparently 1 page always has to remain visible... So this does not help me.
I am looking for a simple checkbox for "Show Page Pane" Yes or No?
I saw a screenshot of something similar which was supposed to be in the Settings of the current file but I do not see this in my version. I am using May 2023.
And please dont come up with some crazy code that I should change in Java etc. I just want a check box. Am I the first person having this issue?
Thank you for your help.
Solved! Go to Solution.
In Power BI Service (not Desktop), go to the workspace, click on the 3 dots next to the Report and select Settings.
Scroll down to 'Pages Pane' and untick that box. Hopefully that works for you.
Is there a way to actually get rid of:
and have only a navigation pane that ones create.
that is exactly what I am looking for. How do I get to this Power BI Service? I only have Desktop
Interesting! Have you published your Power BI dashboard yet to the cloud? When you click on Publish (in Desktop) it uploads it to the cloud at app.powerbi.com where you can view it in any browser and share with other people (if you have a Power BI Pro licence).
well, my company uses the pro licence but we do not use a Cloud. I only upload it to our local server.
But then this would explain why I do not see this feature.
Which obviously makes me ask: why does this simple feature only exist in the Service Version and not in the Desktop Version. But well.
Thank you for your answer anyway!
I see, you use Power BI Report Server to host the content. I don't use it myself so can't help further. Looking at the support documents, and some of the options under the Manage option, I can't see anything similar unfortunately.
In Power BI Service (not Desktop), go to the workspace, click on the 3 dots next to the Report and select Settings.
Scroll down to 'Pages Pane' and untick that box. Hopefully that works for you.
