I need a DAX measure that ignores one slicer. What's going on here?

See attached image and PBIX. It's self explanatory but basically I want to get a distinct count of units ignoring the SIDE slicer. The SIDE slicer is interacting in some way with the date slicer and as I pick different SIDE's I get slightly different values. The values in brackets next to the automobile names are the desired values (with no other filter selections in effect).

NOTE: I can turn off interactions between the SIDE slicer and card visual, but that's NOT the answer! I'm only using the card visual for troubleshooting purposes so we can see its value.

The measure value should still adjust based on Date and Tier selections. But again, it should NOT adjust based on Side selections.

Appreciate any help.

Hi,

Revise yoru measure to

___Measure = CALCULATE(DISTINCTCOUNTNOBLANK(Table1[UnitID]), ALLEXCEPT(Table1,Table1[Model]))

Hope this helps.

@Ashish_Mathur @Greg_Deckler Therein lies the issue. Now the date slicer doesn't work at all. I still need selections on the date slicer to alter the measure value. If I add ProcessDate to the ALLEXCEPT function, we're right back where we started.

Thank you both for weighing in on this...

@bvy OK, try using REMOVEFILTERS instead of ALLEXEPT to just remove the one slicer filter you don't want.

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

@Greg_Deckler Thanks again. You mean like this? Because that doesn't quite work either... Darn.

@bvy Some funky stuff going on with Autoexist. See attached PBIX below signature for fix.

Hi,

Create a Calendar Table with a relationship from the Process Date column to the Date column of the Calendar Table.  To your slicer/filter, drag Date from the Calendar Table.
