{ FIXED [Repeating Complaints],DATEPART('year',
[Date Received by HCL]):
COUNTD([1st Policy Number])}

hi @Anonymous

A general rule for converting Tableau FIXED level of detail expressions to DAX is:

This expression in Tableau:

{ FIXED: [Col1], [Col2]... : [Measure] }

is equivalent to this expression in DAX:

CALCULATE (
    [Measure],
    ALL ( FactTable ),
    SUMMARIZE ( FactTable, SomeTable[Col1], SomeTable[Col2]... )
)

This pattern requires all the columns referenced to be physical columns, so you will need to add some sort of Year column to your table before writing the expression. The result should be something like this (I'm assuming all your columns are in the table YourTable):

CALCULATE (
    DISTINCTCOUNT ( YourTable[1st Policy Number] ),
    ALL ( YourTable ),
    SUMMARIZE (
        YourTable,
        YourTable[Year],
        YourTable[Date Received by HCL]
    )
)

Are you able to get this pattern to work?

Regards,

Owen
