I have the below example of a table in excel, and I want to create it on Power BI, knowing that I have all the monthly payroll runs for each company. But I am not sure how to apply the precentage change over each peroid:

You can use "Quick measure" over Net amount as based value and pick "Month-over-month change" for calculation over Date(Has to be Date table) or create a DAX measure
% Monthly =
VAR _AmountPreviousMonth = CALCULATE(SUM(Net amount) , PREVIOUSMONTH(DATE_TABLE(COLUMN_DATE)))
VAR _NetAmount = SUM(Net amount)
VAR _Result = 1 - DIVIDE(_AmountPreviousMonth , _NetAmount, 0)
RETURN
_Result

There is no other way besdies Date table?
Best way is to add a Date Table to your model. do you have a problem adding it?
